Istinye University Artificial Intelligence Research and Application Center (YZAUM) was established on June 27, 2018, with the approval of YÖK. You can access the center regulations here.
The main purpose of the center can be summarized as developing projects in the fields of interaction between artificial intelligence and other branches of science, conducting research and application studies, and transferring the research results to undergraduate and graduate education. Academics will support research and education studies in faculties and departments with the projects they develop in the field of artificial intelligence, the undergraduate, master's and doctoral theses, articles and books they write.
The research projects and training programs to be organized at the center will be carried out in cooperation with other universities and academicians at home and abroad, and will convey the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence to our academicians. The developed systems, programs and software will be made available to our academics and students.
Meetings such as training programs, seminars, conferences and panels to be prepared within the center will contribute to the development of the departments. The center will organize courses and seminars with expert software engineers brought from abroad, introduce package programs in the field of artificial intelligence to our researchers and increase their usage competencies.
Faculty members and researchers at our university transfer the information produced by interdisciplinary projects and joint studies carried out in our center to the research and education studies in their departments and contribute to the research and education coordination between the center and departments.
